Daily Express. 1943. Good condition. Cover: Rupert with lantern in hand looking up at birds and butterflies, his friends around him, scene overlooking sea. Ink marks/scribble to front cover. Base of spine split to either side for approximately 1.5" with 1" closed tear going into front cover. Top 1" of spine missing with corresponding tears to side. Glue holding cover to spine appears weak. Both colouring pages have been completed. Name in pencil crayon to belongs to box. Not price-cut.

Daily Express. 1937. Nearly fine condition with no wrapper. The second Rupert annual. Colour pictorial boards. 1st story Rupert and the Snow Machine. Red cloth spine, black lettering. 124 pages. 7.5x10". Red and black illustrations throughout. Beautiful dark red spine is very slightly bumped at top and tail. Covers exceptionally bright and clean, so much so that at first glance it could be mistaken for a facsimile annual. Corners very slightly rubbed. Neat name in pencil in belongs to box. A very few margin marks to contents and a couple of small closed edge-tears. A couple of hinges cracked but overall this is a superb copy, rare in this condition.

Daily Express. 1945. Very good condition. Colour pictorial card wraps - Rupert flying on winged bicycle. 1st story Rupert and the Reindeer. 9.5x7". 120pp. A little creasing to cover corners, with wear. Chipping, with small split to base of spine. Wear to spine edges. A few indentation marks to covers, where someone has used the book to lean on and write. A little foxing/browning to rear cover. 1-2" at bottom of front joint is starting to come away. Scribbled out name and date in belongs to box, with some black ink transfer on to verso of front cover. Not price-cut. Some light fingering to page edges and foxing to outer page edges and some page margins. Internal hinge between page 106-107 a little pulled. The illustrations internally are beautifully bright and clean.
