Top edge of front cover is rubbed with slight loss of paper, cover edges slightly rubbed. Some light fingermarks to page margins. Maze puzzle completed in pencil. Inscription in ink in belongs to box. Price NOT cut. Contents generally clean.

Daily Express. 1940. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Cover: Large drawing of Rupert, his head turning round to the reader, pen in hand. Spine and corners worn, some loss of surface paper to spine edges and spine slightly browned. Covers grubby. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Browning to title-page and to verso of last page. Foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents. 3 pages have small cuts to lower margins (no loss) and a couple of other pages have small tears. Lower corner of page 119/120 has been torn off without loss of text. A decent copy.

Pictorial boards - Rupert riding a huge seashell. 1st story Rupert's Silver Trumpet. 120pp. 10x7 ins. Small patch of surface paper damage to top of front cover. Spine has been repaired - but has tape glue residue and marks (Where it was at one time taped up and not reglued). Wear to cover edges. A few marks to covers. Name and address abel stuck to belongs to box. Contents are lovely and bright, with only a few light margin marks. Puzzle to rear of book has Not been done.
